On behalf of the twenty-six fraternity chapters that make up the University of Florida Interfraternity Council, we would like to welcome you to the UF IFC website.
Since being founded in 1884 our council and it's chapters have continued to excel in academics, leadership, athletics, and service. With nearly 3,000 men currently in IFC fraternities and twenty-six chapters on campus, our individual members, chapters, facilities, and charitable donations are among the most premier in the nation.
Whether you are a parent, a prospective fraternity member, or currently affiliated with one of our chapters, we hope our website will answer any and all questions you may have. WHAT IS THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL?
Established in 1884, the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at the University of Florida is the governing body for 26 men’s fraternities. The IFC is chiefly responsible for ensuring the performance of its chapters with regards to the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service and community.
Whether you are an incoming Gator, a transfer student, or current member of the UF student body, we want you to take advantage of the benefits Interfraternity Council has to offer during your time in college. Being part of the IFC community provides numerous opportunities to grow as a student and as a person. The fraternal system is one of the most time-honored collegiate institutions nationally, and it is no different at UF. This reputation is not only due to the past and present members, but the next generation of men who take it upon themselves to continue to improve these institutions of brotherhood.
